The Buenavista Diaries

Download and play Sofia Buenavista here.
Hardened journalist Sofia Buenavista's parents died in a suspicious fire when she was only ten years old. The arsonist was never caught and nobody believed Sofia when she told them what she saw. But even when her well-meaning aunt and uncle insisted there was no such things as ghosts, vampires or werewolves, and in spite of her cousins calling her Spooky Sofi, Sofia was determined to prove to the world that supernaturals exist and what she saw was real. As soon as she graduated college, she moved away to Bridgeport and got a job as a journalist at a supermarket tabloid, the Bridgeport Revealer. Her career was heading straight to the top when her upright character got in the way: refusing to "make up" news on a slow newsweek, Sofia was abruptly fired. Unable to afford the high rent on her big city apartment, and unwilling to return to her aunt and uncle with her tail between her legs, Sofia determined to set out for the unknown and booked a flight to Dorsey, a sleepy little hamlet nestled in the mountains, and harboring its own supernatural secrets. Will Sofia be able to uncover the mysteries that hide in Dorsey's shadows, and will she ever uncover the truth about her own parents' deaths?

  1. hahaha you are gonna laugh at me. I was catching up and thought Sofi was a new character being introduced into the Hemlock story. It took me a minute to catch on to this being a new one.

I'm slow so sorry. Anyway liking the new story so far as I am all caught up on both.

    1. Believe it or not, you may be more correct than you think. Sofia is definitely a new character in a new town, but I like the "common universe" concept, so you may see some familiar faces appearing in her story, and hers in the Hemlock Chronicles. No concrete plans for that, yet, but definitely a possibility.

And thanks for taking the time to read. I really admire you as a writer so your feedback is extra special to me. :)
